I love supporting those who feel like they are on the fringe - like they don't belong or don't deserve to belong. I love working with those who long to explore ways to transform themselves, and I believe in the strength and autonomy of my clients. My goal is to help you facilitate the changes that a part of you already knows you want to make - the same part of you that brought you to this site.

I help clients overcome the stress and self-doubt that come from overthinking and self-questioning, and lead more fulfilled, thoughtful lives with improved relationships both with their loved ones and with themselves. I do this using a number of different types of interventions,  including ACT, CBT, Gottman Method for couples, trauma-informed counseling, psychoeducation, and using the science of the brain and body to carve an intentional path to wellness.

My identities that inform my therapeutic work include: bicultural, South Asian/Indian-American, American-born, brown, able-bodied, cisgender, and heterosexual. I strive towards a practice that is anti-oppressive, decolonized, LGBTQ+ affirming, affirming of the varieties of sexualities that exist in this world, and with a Health At Every Size (HAES) orientation. I am the founder of the South Asian Behavioral Health Initiative of the Pacific Northwest (SABHI).

I specialize in client-centered, strength-oriented care and particularly enjoy working with clients experiencing the following concerns:

  • Grief and loss

  • Navigating the role of caretaker for an ill loved one

  • Chronic illness

  • Second generation and/or bicultural identity

  • Asian and South Asian cultural impacts on mental wellness

  • Intimacy in the setting of chronic illness

  • Intimacy and sexuality concerns

  • Stress and perfectionism in the context of high-functioning overachievement

  • Work/life balance

  • Romantic relationship difficulties

I think that how we find ourselves is in the context of relationships, and I think the health and authenticity of our relationships is directly related to our own individual health and wellness. It’s a delight to work with people who are striving towards growth, wellness, authentic selfhood, and better relationships.

If any of this resonates with you, it would be my honor to connect with you to see if we might be a good fit therapeutically. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me for a free 20 minute consultation using the "Book Consult" button below.
